Someone recently asked me if I thought President Obama was doing the right thing with the massive spending, bank bailout, the automakers and homes. They also wondered if McCain and Palin had won the election, if we'd still be in this recession.

Recently, the majority of Americans sent a clear message to the Republican party that we reject racism, bigotry and the usual politics of fear and small minded people. This sent the Republican party into a panic and a desperate search for becoming more appealing to more than just rich white people and skinheads.

Recently, a conservative group called Our Country Deserves Better began running a commercial thanking Gov Sarah Palin for all she's done for Americans. This puzzles me as they didn't thank her for anything she actually did, like stir up the paranoid anger of the bigots on the fringe right. So, I'd like to set the record straight and thank her for all she has really done!

Some people have been suggesting that religion is killing the Republican party, and I have to disagree. It's not religion, but the people behind the religious beliefs, and I say this after watching many Republicans for years, try to legislate their religious doctrine into laws governing all people.

Last Thursday Republican and chief pollster for John McCain's presidential campaign, Bill McInturff offered his take on why the Republicans lost, and also offers his solution for punishment for the man he says ruined everything... communications guru Frank Luntz (shown below).

As most people probably know, the Republicans took a major beating in this years elections. Now they are trying to figure out why they lost. The reasons shouldn't be that hard to figure out for them, but they are running around like the aftermath of the Bible's tower of Babel where no one could understand each other. Republicans seem to think it was the sudden bad economy, and there is a grain of truth there...
